Queen of the Night, also called Epiphyllum Oxypetalum or Night Blooming Cereus, is a genus of 19 species of epiphytic plants in the cactus family (Cactaceae), native to Central America.s Other common names for these species include orchid cacti and leaf cacti, though the latter also refers to the genus Pereskia. The plant is fragrant orchid cactus with gorgeous white fragrant flowers bloom in dawn to night time, 2-3 times a year across spring to summer and size range 8-12” in diameter. One rooted plant will be 4-8 inches long, with one or more branches. once ordered, we will ship the plant with some soil in 3-5" soft pot so it will be ready to be planted in the pot once received. Due to transportation stress, please transfer the plant to a garden pot as soon as it arrives and let it recover and settle in a shady area a few days before putting it out to brighter/sunny area.

  • Features: This Queen of the Night plant is tropical fragrant orchid cactus with gorgeous white fragrant flowers bloom in dawn to night time, 2-3 times a year spring to summer and size range 8-12” in diameter.
  • Package: One rooted plant will be 4-8 inches tall, some may come already side branches/leaves popped up and some even comes with flower buds. We ship the plant with in a 3-5" transit pot so it will be ready to be repotted at arrival. The plant has been grown organically in Seller's garden.
  • Growing Tips: The plant is a tropical plant which grows well with bright indirect light, consistent moderate moisture and protect from frost.
  • Caution: Depending on shipping and handling condition's, the plant could look somewhat stressed at arrival. No need to panic, simply keep the plant in its current transit pot or transfer the plant to a garden pot without distrubing its root, give a few drops of water (don't overwater it), then let it sit in a shady area with fresh air for a few days to a week. Once the leave start to "harden" and stand robustly, you may move it out to a brighter/sunny area and start to let it thrive.
