- Dual Connection for Inside/Outside Car: The spring-loaded 12V plug needs to securely fit into the receptacle. You cannot get 500 watts from a 12V cigarette lighter plug. To achieve a 500W output from a 12V cigarette lighter plug, alligator clips are necessary to be attached to the car battery. When using the cigarette lighter, it's recommended to limit the wattage to under 150W, which is in alignment with most car fuse ratings.
